West Lake Stevens is a census-designated place in Snohomish County, sitting immediately west of the incorporated city of Lake Stevens. The lake itself, Lake Stevens, is a natural glacial lake about 1,040 acres in surface area. Though the CDP does not touch the lake's immediate shoreline, Catherine Creek and several other tributaries run through the area toward the lake. North Lake Stevens and downtown Lake Stevens are a short drive to the east. The city of Lake Stevens has grown rapidly since the late 1990s, and the CDP has filled in alongside it.
