Cherry Hill is a census-designated place in Henrico County, Virginia, on the eastern fringe of the Richmond metropolitan area. The community is small in both population and land area and is largely residential in character. It lies near Route 60 (Williamsburg Road) and the lower portion of Henrico County that extends toward the Charles City County line.
The CDP developed primarily through the mid and late twentieth century, with detached single-family homes and some rural-residential parcels. Unlike the more densely suburbanized portions of central Henrico, Cherry Hill retains patches of farmland and wooded parcels. It is served by Henrico County Public Schools, with students generally attending Varina High School.
Cherry Hill is not an incorporated town. Henrico County handles all governmental services including police, fire, and public works. The community's proximity to both Richmond International Airport and Fort Gregg-Adams (formerly Fort Lee) provides federal and aviation-sector employment connections.
