Vista Ridge Mall, opened in 1989 on the northwest side near I-35E and State Highway 121, has been joined by a series of mixed-use developments along the corridor. Old Town Lewisville, the historic commercial district along Main Street, has been redeveloped since the late 2000s with small businesses and restaurants. Lewisville ISD serves most of the city.
