Radnor is a first-class township in Delaware County along the Philadelphia Main Line, about thirteen miles west of Center City Philadelphia. The township covers roughly 13 square miles and includes the villages of Wayne, Radnor, Villanova, Bryn Mawr (partial), and Rosemont. Population stands at approximately 32,000. The community was settled by Welsh Quakers in the late seventeenth century and was originally part of the Welsh Tract, a large grant from William Penn.
Villanova University, founded in 1842 by the Order of Saint Augustine, occupies a 260-acre campus at the eastern edge of the township. Enrollment is around 11,000 undergraduate and graduate students.
