Riverside itself includes several industrial parks along the Mad River and Harshman Road that serve defense contractors and aerospace suppliers working with Wright-Patterson.
Eastwood MetroPark, a Five Rivers MetroParks unit of 185 acres, straddles the border of Riverside and Dayton along the Mad River. The park offers fishing, walking trails, and a disc golf course. Huffman Dam, just to the south in Fairborn, controls flood levels on the Mad River under the Miami Conservancy District system.
