Canarsie Pier on Jamaica Bay, part of Gateway National Recreation Area, offers fishing, walking paths, and views across the bay to JFK Airport. The neighborhood is bounded by the Belt Parkway on its southern edge. The L train terminates at Canarsie-Rockaway Parkway station at the northern edge of the neighborhood, connecting directly to Manhattan.
