Lone Tree is a city of approximately 13,175 in Douglas County, situated along I-25 between the southern edge of the Denver metropolitan area and Castle Rock. The city incorporated in 1995 and has grown steadily since, anchored by the Park Meadows retail district and the RidgeGate mixed-use development on its southern end. Sky Ridge Medical Center, a large hospital operated by HCA Healthcare, is another major local institution.
RidgeGate is a master-planned community that combines residential neighborhoods, office space, retail, and the southern terminus of the RTD light rail E Line.
